Ottawa, ONI came to see Trish in early 2012 looking for help to increase strength, build muscle, and improve my performance as a runner. Since starting, I have dropped back down into my ideal weight zone while maintaining my gains in lean muscle. I can do a full set of unassisted chin-ups – something I had never thought achievable – and have improved my running pace by 15-20 seconds per kilometer, setting new personal bests for 5 and 10 km in July and August. Following her programs led to the results I was looking for, and I will certainly call on her again if I find that I need another boost in my training. I wholeheartedly recommend her.

2012When I first started looking into personal training I had this image of a drill sergeant that was going to yell things like, “IS THAT ALL YOU GOT” while I struggled through a push up. This image does not describe Trish at all, and I’m glad. She is incredibly nice and encouraging and got rid of the idea that it’s you against the exercise – which makes exercising so much more enjoyable. If something isn’t working or is painful, she has the knowledge to adapt the exercise so you can work up to the goal. And we did.
My goal when I started working with her was to do a chin-up. Check! The skills she taught me in the gym will serve me for the rest of my life. I highly recommend working with Trish. Feeling my body get stronger has given me the confidence to get out and try new things. I absolutely love it.
